Stuart Weitzman, luxury shoe designer and owner of the Stuart Weitzman company, delivered a lecture on his brand’s history, including his most successful advertising campaigns and the business truisms that have led the company to where it is today. About 80 students and faculty attended the event, which was hosted by the Business of the Arts Club in Kemp Auditorium, Feb. 9.
Washington University student groups, Armour Magazine and Sam Fox Art Council, collaborated to host their first-ever pop-up “Art Mart” a flea-market-style event in which about 30 WashU student vendors showcased and sold their creations and used goods, Friday, Oct. 13.
The Washington University men’s soccer team (2-1-1) continued their out-of-conference season with mixed results, convincingly defeating Principia College on Thursday evening and drawing with Aurora University on Sunday afternoon. While the Bears exploded for five goals against Principia, WashU’s failure to convert opportunities and controversial penalties hindered their chance to sweep their weekend series.
