In Ward 1, Democrat Ken Chambers will face incumbent Jeffrey George, a Republican. Chambers received 139 votes.
Council President Carter Carroll, a Republican, and Democrat Picasso Nelson Sr. will be hoping to gain the Ward 3 seat in June. Nelson received 266 votes.
Ward 4 s race will be between Councilwoman Mary Dryden and former councilman Dave Ware. Both are running as independents.
Wards 2 and 5 Democratic incumbents Deborah Delgado and Nicholas Brown will not face opposition in the June election and will retain their seats on the council.
Delgado received 66% of the votes with 601.Opponents Cedric Dallas garnered 129 votes or 14%, and Charlie Scrap Johnson earned 181 votes or 20%.
