City of Boise Changes Course; Public Pools to Open in 2021 Both Nampa and Meridian safely opened their public pools in 2020 and plan to do so again this year. Meanwhile, their neighbors in Boise weren t so lucky. Public pools were closed in 2020 and the city originally planned to keep the gates closed again this year.  That planned has changed! Boise families will have the opportunity to break out their swimsuits and goggles for a drip in the city pools after all! According to a press release from the City of Boise, they are finalizing a plan to open Borah Pool, Fairmont Pool, Ivywild Pool and the Natatorium this summer.
