Many businesses have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and Macy s just announced that more locations will close this year. Macy s notified the employees at about 45 of its department stores that they will close by the middle of this year. The store closures are part of Macy s previously announced plan to shut down 125 locations by 2023. A spokeswoman told CNBC in a statement,
“As previously announced, Macy’s is committed to rightsizing our store fleet by concentrating our existing retail locations in desirable and well-trafficked A and B malls. To that end, we announced several store closures today that align to the guidance we provided in February 2020. These closures bring us closer to achieving the right mix of mall-based stores.”

Cosmic Candy Company Closing Grand Rapids, Grandville Locations It is with much sadness that after 15 years we are shutting down our two mall stores for good. We appreciate the Grand Rapids and Muskegon communities for the years of goodwill and kindness.
The Cosmic Candy Company location at the Lakes Mall in Muskegon shut down a few years ago.
The remaining stores at Rivertown Crossings Mall in Grandville and Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids will permanently close after December 30th.

Trader Joe s: Will be closed Christmas Day.
Whole Foods Market: Check online for your local store but locations will be closed Christmas Day.
Milam’s Market: Will be closed Christmas Day.
Winn-Dixie: Closed Christmas Day.
Sedano s: All stores will be open Christmas Day until 6 p.m. except stores located at 3925 Palm Ave. in Hialeah and 12175 SW 26th St. in West Miami-Dade, which will be open until 8 p.m.
Presidente Supermarket: Stores will be open Christmas Day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
PHARMACIES
Walgreens: Most locations will be open Christmas Day. The majority of pharmacies will remain closed Christmas Day. Check here for more info.
