Jacksboro Parks and Recreation Director Will Mangum recently gave Lions Club members an update on how the department is functioning and working on various community issues. Mangum said in the April 10 meeting with Lions Club members the Twin Lakes Activity Center was used by homebuilders earlier this year to build five homes for tornado victims.
Classes are canceled for the rest of the week in the Jacksboro because of serious tornado damage to the schools. Officials also confirmed four people were rescued from their homes and nine were hospitalized with injuries.
