Drug crime suspected in head-on crash
Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle collision May 8 in Benedict. Suspected drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine were found in the possession of one of the drivers.

Drug paraphernalia was discovered at the scene of a head-on collision Saturday, May 8 in Hubbard County.
According to a press release from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, a two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:46 p.m. on County Road 38, at the bridge in Benedict.
Responding deputies and medical personnel found two vehicles that had collided head-on and sustained extensive damage. Both drivers were injured and still in their vehicles.
One dead after ATV falls through ice on Kabekona Lake
A side-by-side passenger was pronounced dead after a side-by-side broke through the ice and submerged in 18 feet of water on Kabekona Lake.

One person died and another was hospitalized after a side-by-side ATV fell through the ice Saturday in Lakeport Township.
According to a press release from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported at 6:18 p.m. on Dec. 26. The caller said his mother, father and sister had gone underwater when the side-by-side submerged. Though he pulled all three victims out of the water and began CPR on his mother, the caller said she was unresponsive.
