HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Weâre bringing you a new health initiative called âBridging the Great Health Divide.â
Itâs a partnership between Google and WAFFâs parent company Gray Television. Alabama ranks 7th in the nation when it comes to adult obesity. This report will show the impact this disease has on everyone - including those with low incomes and who live in rural areas.
Youâve heard the saying - you are what you eat. Stats show adults 18 years and older make up the largest group of overweight people followed by school age children. Lori Nieman is a charge nurse over the medical weight loss clinic at Huntsville Hospital.

There have been a lot of changes when it comes to coaching APSU football over the past calendar year.
Scotty Walden, who was announced as the Governors new head coach in October, is the third man set to lead the APSU program in the previous two years.

“I don’t sleep because my mind is constantly racing, trying to put together the who and the why,’ Smith said. “I just don’t get what was so bad, so horrible for you to still have life and my child doesn’t. It’s like one of those movies where you are left hanging. I don’t have an ending.”
