On the serene lake shore of Lake Venoah tucked away in Carlton Minnesota. One man is growing and healing his wellbeing.
Kelvin Covington is a resident at Lake Venoah but now is the gardening extraordinaire after completing a magazine worthy garden on the property. Kelvin suffers from mental health conditions and says that his garden has helped him with that tremendously.
The rest of the Lake Venoah was shocked by how amazing the garden looked! Manager Brian Selen says, I m amazed by how it looks. Especially the roses. When they first come in they come with a plastic bag and a ball of dirt and then a stem sticking out of the bag
Margaret Louise (Wigg) Lindevig
In a farmhouse south of Carlton, MN, Margaret Louise was born to Jesse and Jennie Wigg, on March 21, 1921. Over the next 100 years Margaret would rise up as a true example of grit, stamina and strength gained through adversity. Though Margaret lived her last 50 years in Duluth, she enjoyed weekly drives to her childhood neighborhood, recalling the beginning of many lifelong friendships and the warmth of country gatherings while growing up. On June 21, 2021, she finally bowed to God’s final call to come to her Heavenly home in Glory.
Some years after graduating from Carlton High School, Margaret met her future husband, Irvin, who had just returned from service in World War II. They were married on May 22, 1948 and experienced 52 years of trust and devotion, until Irvin’s death in 2001.
