The merging of two rivers – Sungai Timah and Sungai Tasoh – bestow upon this man-made lake in Perlis its singsongy alliterative name.
Calm and serene, Lake Timah-Tasoh is a popular spot among locals and tourists in the northernmost state of Malaysia. Many flock here in the early morning and late evenings to enjoy the picturesque views of the waters.
The lake, with views of undulating hills in the distant horizon, is a perfect place to catch some peace and quiet. The place has always been referred to as “Malaysia’s Guilin” due to its beautiful hilly backdrop.
