near johnson, oklahoma. it appears the tornado that created the damage very north of just north of shawnee, weakened and another storm popped up just to the east of it, maybe five or six miles east of there. near johnson. moving now into kind of a rural area. if you are in the north des moines area, jester park, average ankeny, the tornado well north of des moines, moving away from des moines, is probably on the ground as well, don. oh, well, chad, you know, it s very interesting to watch this. there have been, again, a number of watches and warnings. they re still going on throughout the evening here on c cnn. listen, i want to tell you that jennifer delgado is going to stand by here at the cnn severe weather center. chad myers is going to watch this closely as well as well as everyone here at cnn. we re all working here for you this evening. we want to keep you as safe as possible and warn you as to when this may be coming to your area. it doesn t appear to be slowing
situation. we re concerned with the storm to the west of nomrman, i should say the east of norman. we have tornado warnings in place until 6:45 local time. as we talk about this storm, this is the one we re concerned about. we put this in, track it for you. give you an idea. residents that live near the area. here s one problem, though, we re pretty close to the radar so that can make things harder to see. as we track this storm for you, hopefully our weather producer can track this storm for me so we can kind of give you an idea where it s heading. anywhere to the east of, say, moore, this is where we re going to see the potential for this storm to bring this tornado. now, keep in mind, stella, 6:19. 6:40 for bethel acres. for shawnee, 6:51. this is why we have the tornado warning in place until 6:45 because we re seeing something showing rotation. we re talking about the super cell bringing potentially a tornado. again, this is doppler indicated. it s not just norman we re talking
