PUBLIC NOTICE The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from the City of Mitchell to construct the Lake Mitchell Marina Development Project in Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, EDA is conducting an environmental assessment (EA) of the proposed project. The project will consist of construction of a breakwater jetty on Lake Mitchell just southeast of Firesteel Park, as well as improvements to approximately 5,400 feet of Firesteel Trail along the lakeshore in the vicinity of the proposed marina. The project will consist of construction of a breakwater jetty on Lake Mitchell just southeast of Firesteel Park, as well as improvements to approximately 5,400 feet of Firesteel Trail along the lakeshore in the vicinity of the proposed marina.
