ST. JOSEPH â Michigan State Police dive team members recovered the body of Dakota Yergeau Wednesday after he had drowned after being swept into Lake Michigan March 28.
Divers found the body by the south pier at Silver Beach, according to a release from the St. Joseph Board of Public Safety.
Yergeau, 27, was one of two men on the beachâs south pier March 28 when a wave crashed just before 5:30 p.m., sending Yergeau into the water.
