LAKE LINDEN James “Jim” Germain, 78, of Lake Linden, passed away while enjoying his daily walk on April 10, 2021.
Jim was born on November 19, 1942, a son of Clarence and Mariette (Gagnon) Germain. He graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1960.
Jim struggled, as an adult, with schizophrenia, but managed to lead a productive life and was generous to others. He worked in logging at the family sawmill, construction for Roland LaCasse, as a salesman for Fuller Brush Company, for the village of Lake Linden, and delivering newspapers on numerous routes for the Daily Mining Gazette, along with various other jobs.
Strong in his faith, Jim was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden, where he had been an altar server.
