At some point the subject frees himself from the the troopers while they are wrestling down on the ground and goes to his vehicle and retrieves a gun and taking the weapon out and fires several shots at both of our troopers. One trooper was struck several times. Our troopers were able to return fire on the subject striking him several times as well. Even after being shot the subject was able to get back in the vehicle and drove himself away from the scene. As you heard there the suspect was hit repeatedly and still drove himself here to easton hospital after being treated for his wound withes at Lehigh Valley hospital in allentown. And one trooper was hit three times and air lifted to Saint Lukes Hospital where he remains in the intensive square unity in Critical Condition that the hour.
