For the 1st time in years, Maine Appalachian Trail volunteers will be able to shower on their days off

By Pete Warner, Bangor Daily News Staff By Pete Warner, Bangor Daily News Staff For the first time in seven years, the volunteers who maintain the Appalachian Trail in Maine will soon have a modern, comfortable and permanent place to spend their days off.  Each year, crews from the Maine Appalachian Trail Club head into the woods to perform maintenance and repairs along the 267 miles of the Appalachian Trail that run from Grafton Notch in the south to Katahdin in the north.

Skowhegan, Canaan regional park receives $15K grant

Lake George Regional Park receives $15,000 grant for work at playground

Awarded by the Conservation for All 2021 Fund of the Maine Community Foundation, grant to be used to repair and improve water drainage.
