Juneteenth events in Burlington VT: Schedule for 2021 celebration

At 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Flynn Elementary School, the Black History 101 Museum presents artifacts reflecting slavery, politics, Jim Crow laws, science, religion, education, music, sports and civil rights. Highlights include documents signed by Frederick Douglass, Booker T. Washington, Mary Mcleod Bethune, W.E.B. Dubois, Paul Robeson, Rosa Parks, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., George Washington Carver, Lena Horne, Carter G. Woodson and Angela Davis. At 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., the True Black History Museum sets up in Roosevelt Park. The collection of rare artifacts preserving the history of Black people dates from the late 1700s to the 21st century.
