Choctaw Nation singer-songwriter Samantha Crain is part of a new wave of creatives building a new model for indigenous arts. But the 35 year-old musician, whose fans stretch across the globe from home in Oklahoma to the U.K. and elsewhere, almost had her career derailed by a series of unfortune accidents. After physically and emotionally recovering from those events, Crain is back, stronger than before, and plays Galveston's Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe this week.
