COVID-19 Second Wave Worse Than First, More Patients Need Oxygen– Sanwo-Olu
On COVID-19, the governor regretted that the state remains the epicentre of the virus while noting that the second wave appears more infectious than the first.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday met behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
At the end of the meeting, the governor told State House correspondents how his government is managing the second wave of COVID-19 in the state and how it is trying to rebuild the infrastructure destroyed during the #EndSARS protests.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday sought collaboration from the Federal Government in rebuilding Lagos State following the aftermath of last year’s #EndSARS protests, hijacked by hoodlums, which led to the destruction of public and private properties and businesses in the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu said the goal of ensuring Lagos State becomes Nigeria’s investment hub can only be achieved through economic collaboration between the State and the Federal Government.
Speaking to journalists after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, Governor Sanwo-Olu said Lagos State Government has started working on how it will make available all that is required by the Lagos State Police Command for the law enforcement agency to be more alive to their responsibilities.

Abuja, Jan. 7, 2021 President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met behind closed doors with Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State at the State House, Abuja.
Addressing State House Correspondents at the end of the meeting, the governor said that he updated the president on the progress so far made in the ongoing reconstruction of the state.
The reconstruction was as a result of the destruction and damages caused by the ENDSARS protests in the state in October, 2020.
According to him, the state government is already resuscitating small scale businesses through the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.
“It is work in progress. We are carefully taking a proper study to know what we need to do, taking our time to get it right but we have started something.
