In a statement released on Sunday by his media advisor, Paul Ibe, Atiku asserted that the Coastal Highway project is progressing more swiftly only because of President Bola Tinubu and Gilbert Chagoury, the proprietor of Hitech, the contractor in charge of the project.
Some members of the Building Collapse Prevention Guild (BCPG) Badagry cell have said that extending the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway to the coastline of Badagry will add economic value to the project. The Nigerian government had unveiled the redesigned route for the 700km Lagos to Calabar Coastal Highway project. The highway will connect nine states and commence from the zero point of Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island.
