As Trump’s presidency comes to an end, now marred by his election intransigence and the deplorable Capitol riot, how does one assess the 45th President of the United States?

In 2020 alone, more than 2,000 Christians were brutally hacked to death by radical Muslims in Nigeria. Add to that the wife in Uganda whose Muslim husband forced her to drink pesticide after he found two Bibles in her suitcase, and the minister shot to death by three gunmen in India while returning home after baptizing new believers. Religious persecution is alive and well.

With well over 300,000 Americans having now died of COVID-related illnesses, virtually all of us have been touched in some way. What’s most striking about COVID-19 is its sheer unpredictability, including who it claims as victims, how one gets it, and why it affects people in so many different ways especially those who die and those who don’t. “Underlying conditions” don’t seem to be the only deciding factor between life and death, nor solely age, and despite disparate

Wow, I’m honored! Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, actually read my most recent Facebook post (about conspiracy theories). Just how special is that! At least, I think it was Zuckerberg. Might have been one of his underlings. Or, more likely, just his private (secretive) secretary, Al Gorithm, whose job is to analyze every word you and I write on Facebook and see if it meets Facebook’s strict standards of woke Leftism.

Not me! Wouldn’t dare weigh in on Trump’s conspiracy claims that some states allowed voters to turn in ballots after election day; that vote-counting machines were rigged to favor Biden; and that the FBI and the DOJ were complicit in covering up election fraud. Even if Trump is right that there were voting irregularities, the question remains just how systematic and conspiratorial all that might be. It’s unlikely that hard-core Trump supporters could ever be convinced it wasn’t conspiratorial, while fanatical anti-Trump detractors will never be convinced that Putin and Trump didn’t conspire in the 2016 election. Can reason possibly match the passion?
