Medical Center named a top performing hospital
COSHOCTON - Coshocton Regional Medical Center was recently recognized as a 2021 Top 100 Hospital in the Nation by Fortune and IBM Watson Health.
In the annual list published by Fortune, Top 100 Hospital recipients showcase excellence in clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, patient experience and financial health. This recognition demonstrates the medical center s commitment to prioritize patient-centered care, the hospital said in a press release.
According to IBM Watson Health, as compared to similar hospitals, the hospitals included on the Fortune/IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals list had better results on key clinical and operational performance indicators. Minerva man dies in Tuscarawas County crash
FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP - The New Philadelphia post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle crash with a fatality from Monday afternoon. It occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Ohio 800.
The patrol post said a Chrysler Sebring driven by Douglas W. Arkenburgh, 51, of Minerva, crossed the center line and struck a semi dump truck loaded with gravel driven by Monroe A. Schlabach, 69, of Millersburg. The semi was forced off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail.
The patrol post said Arkenburgh was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a seat belt. Schlabach was not wearing a seat belt either, but was not injured.
