Cité des Arts, a community-based theatre and arts venue, has been saved for the rest of 2021.
The non-profit organization that showcases local artists endeavors has reached its goals of $40,000 in the Save Cité des Arts fundraiser.
The $40,000 goal was to pay for rent owed to the landlord since the beginning of the pandemic and to also pay the 2021 rent up front.
Cité des Arts board president Chrys Vildibill said the fundraiser would not have been the success that it was without donations from William C. Schumacher Family Foundation, the J.C. Moss Family Charitable Fund, Lafayette Neighborhoods Economic Corporation, SOLA Giving Day and of course all our regular supporters.
