Gov. Greg Gianforte and First Lady Susan Gianforte have both tested positive for COVID-19.
The governor tested positive on Monday, and the first lady tested positive Tuesday, according to The Associated Press. Close contacts with the governor include a staff member, a member of his security detail, family members and friends with whom he had dinner, according to spokesperson Brooke Stroyke.
Gianforte received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on April 1, but people are not considered fully immunized until two weeks after they receive their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or two weeks after they receive the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
