The Reese’s Senior Bowl in collaboration with the NFL will hold the first historically Black college and university (HBCU) Combine.
The event will take place at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, where the Senior Bowl takes place and will feature the top seniors from the CIAA, MEAC, SIAC, and SWAC HBCU football conferences and other HBCU football teams. In addition to workouts, agility and skill testing, the HBCU Combine will give NFL teams, scouts, and front office personnel a chance to gather medical information and interview prospects.
No youth status for teen suspect in football game shooting

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) A teenager facing charges in the shooting of nine people two years ago during a high school football game in Alabama will face trial as an adult.
News outlets in Mobile say a judge ruled that Deangelo Dejuan Parnell will not be granted youthful offender status.
The shooting occurred in Aug. 30, 2019. Video and photos show the gunfire sent players and onlookers at Ladd-Peebles Stadium running for cover. Nine people were hurt.
Deangelo, who was a 17-year-old LeFlore High School student at the time, turned himself in the next day. He faces nine counts of attempted murder. He has pleaded not guilty.

Mobile, Ala. – On April 23, Feeding the Gulf Coast will distribute approximately 45,000 pounds of food including fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products to include yogurt, milk and cheese; and meat to 1,000 individuals and families at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The distribution will operate in a drive-through style to minimize contact for both clients and volunteers. There is no need for individuals to pre-register; food will be distributed first-come, first-served beginning at 9:00 a.m and ending when all food boxes have been distributed. Adults need to present a valid ID to receive food. Individuals are asked to enter the stadium from Virginia Street no earlier than 7:00 a.m..
