JOHOR BARU: Iskandar Puteri will have a new Chinese primary school soon with the completion of SJKC Cheah Fah, which is slated to begin classes next January.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said the RM15mil school located in Sunway Iskandar was currently 85% completed, some 5% ahead of schedule.
He said construction was expected to finish in August, with the school expected to receive its Certificate of Completion and Compliance in October.
“If all goes well, we expect classes to begin in January 2022. The school can accommodate more than 900 pupils. It will be quite impressive with 24 classrooms and an air-conditioned multi-purpose hall.
