Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. U.S. women’s national team tryouts June 9-11 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., will include a one-hour live stream on Lax Sports Network on Thursday, June 10, USA Lacrosse announced Tuesday. Sheehan Stanwick Burch and Kristen Kjellman Marshall will co-host the show. The tryouts will feature 63 of the nation’s top players including 16 players and five coaches participating in NCAA championship weekend.
Indianapolis is the new No. 1 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Women’s Top 20. The Greyhounds defeated previous No. 1 Lindenwood in the GLVC championship game.
3. Nora Giordano scored in overtime to lift Lehigh to a 13-12 win over Navy in the Patriot League women’s lacrosse quarterfinals Monday. Patriot League Midfielder of the Year Sondra Dickey scored five goals and caused five turnovers for the Mountain Hawks, who will play Army in the semifinals Thursday at Loyola. Colgate, which scored three goals in the final 10 minutes to defeat Boston University 15-13, will play the Greyhounds in the other semifinal.
