Cal State Dominguez Hills Earns $1 18M for Greenhouse Gas Reductions

By City News Service Jan 6, 2021 CARSON (CNS) - Cal State Dominguez Hills has received more than $1.18 million in performance payments for its successful efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emission, school officials said today. The payments come from the Clean Energy Optimization Pilot, a four-year, $20 million effort administered by Southern California Edison. The program was approved by the California Public Utilities Commission and launched by SCE in July 2019. It gives participating California State University and University of California campuses performance payments to identify and apply sustainable actions to reduce the release of greenhouse gases. Along with CSUDH, Cal Poly Pomona and five UC campuses and medical centers are participating.
