Premium Content Subscriber only A man busted with a hydroponic set up in his bedroom claimed the set up did not belong to him, and he did not allow anyone into his room. Stephen Mathys Robert Frenken pleaded guilty on May 5 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to one count each of producing a dangerous drug, possessing items used to produce drugs and possess drug utensils. Police prosecutor Senior Constable Michelle Welch said police attended an Alma St residence at 1.30pm on December 21 in relation to another matter. She said Frenken told police there was a marijuana plant inside a tent in his bedroom.

Drugs and pipe hidden in makeup bag in bathroom

Premium Content Subscriber only A woman busted possessing drugs and drug utensils claimed one item belonged to her partner and the other items found in a makeup bag in the bathroom belonged to a friend. Chantal Jade Bashford, 39, pleaded guilty on May 5 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to one count of possessing a dangerous drug and one of possessing drug utensils. Police prosecutor Senior Constable Michelle Welch said police conducted a search of Bashford’s residence on March 19 at 12.34pm while two other adults and two children were present. She said police found 0.3g of methamphetamines in a clip seal bag inside a tin which was found in a make up bag, along with a pipe, cut straw and lighter.

Woman helps friend break into home after eviction

Premium Content Subscriber only A woman who helped a friend break into the house the friend had been evicted from was unaware the occupier had given the friend many opportunities to collect their belongings. The helping friend, Shannon Dundon, pleaded guilty on May 5 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to one count of trespass and one of wilful damage. Police prosecutor Senior Constable Michelle Welch said the victim observed, via CCTV, people break into his house. She said Dundon and another female entered through the back gate and broke in, using a screwdriver to bend a window frame and gain entry. Senior Constable Welch said Dundon told police the other female had been evicted and she just wanted to collect her property.

Steroids package addressed to man, 77, at a business location

Premium Content Subscriber only A package containing $800 worth of steroids had been addressed to a business location and had the name of 77-year-old man on it. Jason Luke Leo Titmus, 40, pleaded guilty on May 5 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to two counts of possessing restricted drugs. Police prosecutor Senior Constable Michelle Welch said Australia Post staff contacted police on March 16 in relation to a suspicious parcel at the Burnett St depot which contained steroids. Jason Luke Leo Titmus, 40, pleaded guilty on May 5 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court to two counts of possessing restricted drugs. She said the parcel was addressed to a location which was not a residential address in Allenstown and the name on the parcel was matched to a man in the same postcode area who was 77-years-old and unlikely to order testosterone or trenbolone, which was in the parcel.
