On Wednesday, four members of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) surrendered at the Assam Police Headquarters in Guwahati. Identified as Dipok Hatiboruah, Nayan Patmaut, Montu Moran, and Palash Moran, they submitted two hand grenades and pistols. Assam DGP GP Singh revealed that 11 ULFA members have surrendered in 2023, 16 have been arrested, and there are currently 75 active cadres. In October, ULFA-I claimed to have executed two members, accusing them of espionage, in Myanmar where the group has bases.
