Passenger dies in DUI crash on Highway 70
A passenger died in a crash on Highway 70 as the driver was driving the passenger’s vehicle while under the influence.

QUINCY, Calif. - An intoxicated driver was arrested after a solo vehicle crash that killed the passenger on Highway 70 Tuesday morning, California Highway Patrol said.
CHP said the driver Christopher Carlisle, 40, and passenger Lacey Duval, 34, were heading east on Highway 70 just east of C Road as the crash happened around 8:39 a.m.
The vehicle left the roadway at a high rate of speed as Carlisle was not able to negotiate a left-hand curve and ended up leaving the roadway down a steep embankment.
