A LITTLE girl s Christmas wish came true after she penned a heartfelt letter about a Christmas tree that was missing a star. Lacey Churcher, aged five-and-a-half penned a letter to local brewer Hall & Woodhouse when she noticed Christmas tree outside the Crown Hotel in Blandford, desperately needed a star on its highest bough. Touchingly, the youngster even offered to climb up a ladder to place a star at the top, and illustrated her letter with a picture of a Christmas tree. So moved were the brewery team that not only did they set about replying to Lacey and sourcing a star - the brewery also arranged for a crew from Blandford Fire Station to place it atop the very tall tree.
