Looks like we're getting a break from the oppressive heat and fall has finally arrived in Oklahoma. Now's the time to get off the concrete and into the great outdoors for some camping and hiking.
Now that things are finally starting to cool off some, it's the perfect time to head to the mountains and do a little camping. It's looking like the weather will be around the mid-sixties and even in the mid-fifties for the next several days and weeks so there's plenty of time to get out there and enjoy it.
It seems like it's been forever since we've had Open Streets in Lawton, Fort Sill. Well, good news. It's coming back and will be teaming up with SWOK Trails Fest next month. The BIG EVENT will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 17th and 18th at Elmer Thomas Park located at 501 N.W. Ferris Avenue in Lawton, OK.
Now that things are finally starting to warm up, it's the perfect time to head to the mountains and do a little camping. Camp Doris in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is a great place to go camping and it's available year-round. If you're looking for a place to go and a spot to call your own for a few days it's the perfect location.
