Congress MP Shaktisinh Gohil on Tuesday gave suspension of Business notice in Rajya Sabha to discuss the two-day nationwide strike called Bharat Bandh staged by different trade unions to protest against various government policies.
The two-day Chakka Bandh called by Assam Motor Workers Association (AMWA) comes along with the two-day nationwide strike (Bharat Bandh) called by a joint forum of the central trade union.
Twenty crore workers from 10 central trade unions are expected to participate in the two-day strike. The Mamata Banerjee government in Bengal said that no employee of government offices would be granted personal or casual leave on these days.
