and just yesterday we got new market data suggesting that the demand for workers in the month of november dropped and that actually led some analysts to suggest the federal reserve will not cut rates as aggressively as some investors have priced in for 2024. and speaking about the fed, in fact, yesterday the central bank also released new minutes that suggested that, indeed, rate cuts are likely this year, but those minutes did not offer any sort of clues as to how and when that might take place. so all of this labor market data could actually help the markets figuring out what might be the fed s next steps in the next couple of months. certainly debate over those potential rate cuts will hover over 2024. let s turn to a couple other stories now. oil prices rose in early trading this morning prompting concerns about middle eastern supply. give us an update there. yes, we re also monitoring
