Those planning trips in and around Montreal for the long weekend should be aware that traffic restrictions will be in place due to road construction on several major routes. Drivers are best to avoid Highway 20 westbound at the Saint-Pierre interchange, Highway 25 southbound heading towards the La Fontaine tunnel, Highway 13 northbound in Lavala at Highway 440 and other stretches of road listed below.
Officers from Montreal, Laval, and the North Shore communities have joined forces after linking 67 separate incidents over the last year including threats, extortion, arson, and assault targeting stores and businesses. So far they have arrested 19 people.
