“I’m so grateful to these exercise programs at the senior center,” one participant said. “I can dance again. I can’t explain the joy I feel to move without pain once again.”
This year, the group of two dozen ladies who meet weekly at the Warren Senior Center knitted well over 1,700 hats, mittens, lap robes and scarfs for causes throughout the state.
Betty Hoague’s retirement party drew loud rounds of applause (and a few tears) from many of the seniors and friends who have interacted with her these past two decades.
