A Virginia law enforcement agency is helping D.C. police in the search for a missing 2-month-old who was last seen Wednesday.
On Monday, the Charles City County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that it is searching a waste management landfill located approximately 130 miles south of D.C.
“Charles City County Sheriff’s Office is currently assisting the District of Columbia (DC) Metropolitan Police Department in the search of a missing infant case at the Waste Management Landfill in Charles City County. At this time, the child has not been located,” the post stated.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said Monday the mother “is the only person of interest” in the case, and authorities are questioning her.

WASHINGTON A man was found stabbed to death in a park in Northeast, D.C. Tuesday morning, Metropolitan Police Department said.
The man s body was discovered around 4 a.m. in the 1500 block of Benning Road, police said. Someone walking in the area of Starburst Plaza park found the body.
Police said there is no lookout for a possible suspect or suspects at this time.
Starburst Plaza park and surrounding sidewalks are closed due to the investigation. Nearby roads remain open, police said.

WASHINGTON The Metropolitan Police Department suspects foul play in the disappearance of 2-month-old Kyon Jones, and his mother is believed to be involved, according to sources who spoke with WUSA9 s Lesli Foster.
The infant was last seen Wednesday, May 5, in a residence in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, according to police. The baby was reported missing on Friday, May 7.
