CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Golden Flashes took home the weekly Mid-American Conference awards, with senior Abby Fletcher earning MAC Gymnast of the Week and freshman Kyndall Gilbert named MAC Specialist of the Week.

Fletcher kicked off her final season as Golden Flash with an impressive performance across three events, including a dazzling 9,875-story routine to take the individual event title. She wasn’t done with that, as she put a 9,750 on beam to finish in tie for second place and a 9,750 on vault to take fourth. Fletcher helped the Flashes hit an impressive 194,675 overall score in the season opener, the highest score of any MAC team this season. Her individual score of 9,875 ranks # 1 in the MAC and # 25 in the country.
