Major New Zealand citrus grower signs on for Spectre

Major New Zealand citrus grower signs on for Spectre First Fresh NZ, a major citrus supplier to the domestic market in New Zealand, has taken the global lead as the first citrus enterprise to sign on to Spectre, the computer vision fruit sizing tool developed by New Zealand start-up, Hectre. The bills, which were quietly introduced last month, aimed to block businesses from requiring their employees or customers to get coronavirus vaccinations. North Dakota is not the first state to take up the issue of requiring vaccinations; as vaccinations roll out across the country, lawmakers and public health experts are looking at whether new legislation can or should mandate them. Or, as was the case in North Dakota, whether legislation can block a vaccination requirement.

SHUTDOWN: Axe to fall on another Ipswich business

A DECLINE in foot traffic is partly to blame for the closure of Commonwealth Bank Australia’s Booval Fair branch. The shutdown was revealed just last week after a notice announcing the unfortunate decision was displayed at the site. Regional general manager Kylie Hall said transactions at the branch had almost halved in the past five years. The long-standing site is set to shut for good following a day of trading on March 5. “Following a recent review and in line with our lease expiry, we made the difficult decision to permanently close the Booval branch,” she said. The onslaught of coronavirus also proved a key contributor to its inevitable demise, with more customers reportedly turning to digital services.
