L-R Softball Falls in Both Games of A Doubleheader

Lenoir-Rhyne’s softball team dropped a doubleheader against Flagler on Saturday at home. In Flagler’s first-ever visit to Hickory they came away with a one-run win in game one, 3-2 and an extra-inning win in the nightcap, 6-4.
In game one, Flagler wasted no time scoring two runs in the first inning but the Bears cut the lead in half with an RBI double by Lauren Rakes in the second inning. Flagler got what ended up being the winning run on a throwing error by LR with two outs in the top of the 3rd.
