WATERBURY Linda (Fitzgerald) Ryer, age 71, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, after a short battle with cancer.
Linda was born Jan. 13, 1949, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Robert and Eileen (Barringer) Fitzgerald. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and worked for many years in the healthcare and social services industries.
Linda had a great passion for helping others, especially those with disabilities. Linda was an extremely caring and compassionate person who would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She had little but gave so very much.
Linda appreciated the simple things in life, and understood that the most valuable things in life aren’t “things” at all. She loved being by the ocean, especially Cape Cod. She was a wonderful Mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was most happy being surrounded by the loving close-knit family she nurtured who will deeply miss her smile an
