this next story will tug at your heart stringings. the little boy lost in the woods saved by puppies. 10 year old kyle kemp has down syndrome and may not have survived the night if not for four puppies who kept him alive. he was found when 150 brave volunteers searched the woods. joins me is jamey sweeny. good morning. tuesday night you heard kyle sweeny was missing. what made you want to be part of the search? it was actually wednesday morning when i found out about it. one of my partners, that i own a restaurant and he s with me and he s on the rescue squad and said he had been out hunting for him and they were taking volunteers at 7:00.
creek. probably about three foot deep as far as the banks in the area he was at and the pupeps at the time he was with was up on the bank and he was standing in the water, looking up at me. let s talk about those pupeps. as we understand it. kyle had followed the puppis and how he got lost. how did the puppies keep him alive? well, you know, i am sure they played a big part in it. i would imagine that you know, they did help him. his daddy told me yesterday morning that kyle said they were sleeping on his neck and chest. and i imagine that was comfort for a little boy 10 years old in cold weather in the woods in the middle of the night. i am 35 years old.
