HOUSTON – A recently filed lawsuit alleges tires from a Mack cement truck broke free and crossed several lanes of traffic, and even skipped over a highway median, before crushing part of a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
Seeking $2.5 million in damages, Vicheth Srou filed suit against Apple Towing, Eric Ruiz and Alexis Reyes in Harris County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on March 1 Ruiz was towing Reyes’ large Mack cement truck. As Ruiz was traveling southbound on SH-228, the left set of tandem wheels entirely separated from the cement truck.
“They bounced across numerous lanes, and across the median of SH-288, before colliding with, and crushing part of (Srou’s) vehicle, which was traveling northbound on SH-288,” the suit states.
Competitive cornhole boosts benefits for Tampa Bay areaÂ
TAMPA, Fla. - Cornhole is a simple social sport. Cornhole is just your average backyard game. That s how it started out. It s nothing more than throwing a bean bag at a board , said Ryan Schwartzkopf of Tampa Bay Cornhole.
Members of this cornhole group range in age and experience. They test their tosses in some friendly competition that can also pay off. Over the years it s really become a cash sport. Players like to get involved because they can make some money. So it s evolved a lot more from just a backyard cornhole game. We have professional cornholers. So they travel around. They re sponsored and they love to play the game, explained Schwartzkopf.
