Adelaide was thumped by crosstown rivals Port Adelaide in the AAMI Community Series yesterday by 71 points, conceding 11 second-half goals.
Coming off their first wooden spoon, the Crows will be an interesting team to watch this year given they lost Brad Crouch, Kyle Hartigan and Rory Atkins from that already struggling team, while Wayne Milera has suffered a season-ending injury and both Daniel Talia and Tom Doedee are dealing with injury issues of their own.
Watching the AAMI Community Series closely, Kane Cornes believes Adelaide put out their single worst team of 22 players in the clubâs history on the weekend.
HAWTHORN 17.18 (120) defeated NORTH MELBOURNE 12.9 (81)
Key forward Jacob Koschitzke threw his name up for a round-one debut in Hawthorn’s win over North Melbourne in the Community Cup series on Saturday.
Koschitzke, the cousin of retired St Kilda star Justin, kicked six goals and three behinds while pulling in some strong marks as the Hawks controlled the majority of the game to claim a 39-point win at Arden Street Oval.

The third-year Hawks forward was drafted as a key defender but has trained as a forward during the off-season and made some smart leads into space for his marks, while his kicking action looks fundamentally sound.

Today, I’ll take a look at last year’s bottom four, before moving onto the rest of the non-finalists (Tuesday), the non-top four finalists (next Thursday) and, finally, the reigning top four (the following Tuesday).

The preseason water cooler talk, from the leaders in media to the two local bricklayers discussing their opinions over smoko, usually resolve over one thing: predictions.
However, given the season is less than six weeks until its opening act, each team has many a burning question or line of discussion that has brewed, and by the time the final siren has sounded to announce yet another set of premiership heroes, they shall be answered.

Developing tall forwards impress
The Crows may have been easily beaten by Port Adelaide at Alberton, but Billy Framptonâs performance was promising.
