a birthday celebration ended in tragedy early this morning in the district. someone ran down kyla ryan, and the driver kept going. any word on the search for this driver? they have located the driver. someone followed the suv. it happened at this dupont circle night spot. a young woman got out of her vehicle when another vehicle came and ran her down. one woman is dead and another faces serious charges. the suv hit ryan after she got out of her car. the suv slammed into her, during her to the pavement. it kept going. hours after turning 24, she died from massive injuries. she was very pleasant young girl. a very optimistic, wanting to exceed in everything. a man yelled to call 911 and jumped on his bicycle and chase the suv. a bicyclist followed the striking vehicle, notice the tag number and called police. investigators traced it to an apartment building. they towed away the lexus. investigators say when police arrived, a woman set in the seat of the vehicle. they
