prosecutors say the victim was beaten, stabbed, and burned alive. dimauro was not charged with the murder but with helping to cover it up afterwards. she has pled not guilty. i m being charged with accessory to first degree murder after the fact. i guess a lot of it has to do with the company your keep. and the company dimauro once kept included four adult men who lived with her and her 3-year-old son in this two-bedroom apartment. all four men have been charged for various roles in the murder. this case is interesting because there was four or five co-defendants in there and they all have a different story about what happened that night of the crime or that morning of the crime. so it is a very tangled web of things. it s kind of something you would see on tv or a movie. you got a bunch of moving parts to this crime, and it ll be something to see how it plays out in court. one of those co-defendants is kasey ackerman who was dimauro s live-in boyfriend at the time.
