DURBAN – On 23 November 2020, a house at Etsheni section in Wartburg was broken into and furniture valued at R44 650-00 was stolen by unknown people. The suspects allegedly gained entry by forcing the windows open. Charges of robbery and theft were opened at Wartburg police station for investigation.
An intensive investigation by the Wartburg task team revealed that the stolen furniture was kept in a house in Umgababa in the south coast area. On Monday night, the police proceeded to the said house where they recovered the stolen property including, a fridge and six sets of the leather brown sofa. The police gathered all the information and it was established that the furniture was going to be moved to another province.
