On Wednesday, two petitioners at the Judicial Panel of Enquiry on End SARS in Ilorin, Kwara State, said operatives of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) tortured them to implicate Saraki. They alleged that the officers told them to state that Saraki bought guns for them. In their petition, Kehinde Gobir and Shuaib Jawando recalled that they spent over 73 days in police detention in Ilorin and Abuja. They denied being used by Saraki for criminal activities, adding that they were only his political supporters.
