En partenariat avec la section aérienne de la Gendarmerie, le Parc National et l ONF, un ancien site radio a été démantelé dans la zone du volcan - pas des sables. Celui-ci n était plus utilisé depuis la modernisation du réseau radio sur l île. Au total, 3,5 tonnes de matériels ont pu être évacuées, soit la totalité du site.
