KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: Kuwait stocks edged lower on Thursday to end the week on dour note. The All Shares Index fell 3.44 points in choppy trade to 5,569.39 pts even as the overall mood remained turned negative. The Premier Market slipped 5.96 pts to 6,088.43 points while Main Market ticked 1.78 pts higher. The BK 50 Main index was down 9.51 pts at 4,617.81 points. The volume turnover meanwhile receded after last session’s uptick. Over 161 million shares changed hands – down 13 pct from the day before. The sectors closed mixed. Insurance outshone the rest with 1.9 percent gain whereas Consumer Goods shed 0.68 pct, the worst performer of the day. Volume wise, Financial Services topped with 78.83 million shares while Banks dominated in value with KD 8.2 million.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: Kuwait stocks pulled lower on Tuesday extending the losses to third consecutive session. The Al Shares Index gave up early gains to close 29.63 points down at 5,558.49 pts weighed mostly by blue chips even as the overall mood remained downbeat.
The Premier Market slid 41.98 pts to 6,080.49 points while Main Market gave up 4.15 pts. The BK 50 Main index fell 3.41 points to close at 4,609.74 pts. The volume turnover meanwhile hit a two-week low. Over 166 million shares changed hands – down 22 pct from the day before.
The sectors closed mostly in red turf. Insurance outshone the rest with 4.32 pct jump whereas Technology slid 3.71 percent, the biggest loser of the day. Volume wise, Financial Services topped the volume with 46.8 million shares while Banking sector continued to dominate with KD 15.7 million. KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: Kuwait stocks pulled higher on Tuesday after closing nearly flat in the previous session. The All Shares Index climbed 27.56 pts to 5599.21 points helped by fresh buying in some of the heavyweights and mid-caps.
The Premier Market scaled 22.16 points taking the month’s gains to 102 pts while Main Market swung 39.14 pts higher to 4592.29 pts. The BK 50 Main index gained 31.69 points. The volume turnover meanwhile saw a modest rise. Over 224 million shares changed hands – up 6 pct from the day before. The sectors closed mostly in the green turf. Oil and Gas outpaced the rest with 6 pct jump whereas Utilities shed 1 percent, the biggest loser of the day. Financial Services continued to top with over 72 million shares while Banking sector dominated in value with KD 16.6 million. Humansoft Holding climbs 15 fils, Zain edges down
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: Kuwait stocks crept higher on Sunday extending last session’s modest gains. The All Shares Index climbed 12.94 pts to 5,572.84 points in a volatile session helped by some of the mid-caps even as the heavyweights closed narrowly mixed. The Premier Market rose 3.95 pts to 6,101.85 points while Main Market scaled 31.83 pts taking month’s gains to156 pts.
The BK 50 Main index sprinted 28.31 points to 4646.49 pts. The volume turnover meanwhile rebounded following the two-day drop. Over 240 million shares changed hands – a 13 pct rise from the last session. The sectors closed mostly in green turf. Utilities outshone the rest with 3.29 pct gain whereas Oil and Gas slipped 0.27 percent, the worst performer of the day. Volumewise, Financial Services continued to top with 115.2 million shares while Banking sector was ahead in value with over KD 8 million.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: Kuwait stocks eked modest gains on Thursday to end the week on positive note. The All Shares Index, after a wobbly start, climbed 10.89 pts to 5,559.90 points helped by some of the blue chips and mid-caps.
The Premier Market fell 3.7 pts to 6,097.90 points trimming the month’s gains to 89 pts while Main Market scaled 41.37 points. The BK 50 Main index gained 25 pts. The volume turnover meanwhile dropped for the second straight session. Over 208 million shares changed hands – down 19 percent from the day before.
The sectors closed mostly in green. Financial Services outpaced the rest with 2 percent gain whereas Banking sector shed 0.11 pct, the worst performer of the day.
